Finding Inspiration in Paradise By Rebecca Leigh

There are many places we as authors find inspirations for our stories.  I’ve found mine in movies, other books, dreams, and even staring off into the distance.   Although I write a variety of erotic romance and erotica, many of my stories are m/m.  Luckily, I don’t have to go far from my front porch to find inspiration for my sexy heroes.

In Hawaiian, hula means dance.  If you are not that familiar with hula, you may associate it with women, but men also hula.  I have a difficult time finding something sexier than a man undulating his hips to the sound of the primal beat of drums.

Of course, no dream of a man in Hawaii would be complete without a surfer.  I’ve seen surfers of every shade – but one thing is for sure, they are lean and they are sex.  The way the water falls from their skin as they exit the water carrying their boards  makes you want to lick them dry!

Some people think that a man can’t look good in an aloha shirt (ahem – George Clooney’s comments that wearing an aloha shirt would kill his mojo).  I beg to differ.  I don’t know if its just because I grew up watching Magnum P.I., but Tom Selleck can definitely pull off some sexy mojo in the floral print island “suit.”

And then, of course, there are the tattoos.  Men like this don’t just exist on t.v.  I seem them every day.  Sex dripping with ink!

I’ll continue to find inspiration in many different places, but am luck to live in paradise – where the men of Hawaii provide the best visual inspiration in the world!

Mahalo Tristan, for having me!

Rebecca Leigh is the mistress of her own destiny. From the confines of her ocean-side bungalow, she gets lost in her erotic fantasies. She occasionally allows herself breaks from her erotic ball-and-chain to drink wine and eat oysters.
